LIVERPOOL SIGN BORINI: REACTION

It was announced a few days ago that AS Roma forward Fabio Borini has signed for Liverpool FC for an undisclosed fee.

This is Rodgers first signing as Liverpool boss and one that shows promise with Borini being 21 years of age he has a lot of time to become a great player.

I'll be honest, i know very little about Borini so i can't comment on what he will bring to the club. i will have to trust Brendan's judgement on that. What i do know is that Rodgers is a Borini fan having worked with him at Swansea 2 seasons ago registering 6 goals from his 12 games at the club. Last season he netted 10 goals from 25 appearances in Italy.

Here's the stats:
thanks to wikipedia

What this table tells me is that the lad is still green, but to be playing consistently in Serie A means he's maturing and has what it takes to grow as a football. This signing is defiantly one for the future but i wouldn't be surprised to see him as a regular stater this coming season, with Dirk gone and now Maxi leaving us we need strengthening in the versatile striker positions, and it looks like Borini fits the mold nicely.

I have no waiving expectations of this signing and only look at it as a positive move from Brendan to bring fluid attacking minded players to our club, more specifically goalscorers! is Borini this? and who knows maybe adding Borini will help Aqualini finally settle in England, only time will tell.
